Back in 2017, in true millennial fashion, River City CPAs started off as a side hustle for our founder as he strived to support his young family. After graduating with his MBA, Brandon started his public accounting career like many others, at a Big4 firm. While the work was demanding and challenging, it was hardly fulfilling. After working with some of the largest companies in the world, Brandon knew he could use his expertise to help small businesses in his communities.
River City CPAs started off that first year with just ten clients. During that humble beginning, Brandon knew he needed a way to connect with more small businesses to grow his firm. Realizing several of those early clients used QuickBooks, Brandon soon became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor to market the firm. Within a year, River City CPAs gained over 50% client growth and revenue doubled.
With almost no promotion, firm revenues have doubled every single year thanks to our day one clients and strong referrals. With this expansion, clients have expected more from us, and we did just that. Since the pandemic, we have expanded our offerings to include payroll and indirect business tax services. As growth continues, we anticipate offering other consulting and business services such as fractional CFO, data analytics, and cashflow management.

River City CPAs started in one of the largest midwestern river cities, St. Louis, Missouri. From minor league baseball teams to casinos, people are familiar with the term “River City”. And rightfully so as St. Louis is the intersection for our nation’s two largest rivers.
